Ugress is the primary and most popular musical project within the Uncanny Planet label. Over the years, Ugress has consisted of a different number of different people, but in the current setup, Gisle Martens Meyer performs alone.

The word ugress is Norwegian and means weed (as in an unwanted plant). Ugress is booked by Atomic Agency.

The first Ugress single E-Pipe was released in 2000, the same year as the first Ugress gig where played in Bergen Cinema on the occation of the program release for Bergen Movie Club^[1].

Ugress' first real hit was Loungemeister in 2002, being played a lot on radio. But it's total breakthrough was Resound, released the same year.
