[edit] Music production

Gisle Martens Meyer composed and arranged the music for the show, along with Sjur Hjeltnes.

Together they composed the theme song, occasional music, and a one sing-along song for each episode, concerning the subject and sung by a different character in every episode. The song for episode 1 was specifically made for Kometkameratene from scratch. For the songs in episodes 2 and 3, the idea came from old sketches for Ugress songs that never made it. The sketches were then polished up and vocals recorded to make the final song in the TV series. The song in episode 4 was written by Sjur, with Gisle doing editing and beats. [2]

[edit] Trivia

  • The name for the show was originally Romkameratene, but had to be changed to Kometkameratene for legal reasons. Because the first episode had to be re-dubbed to facilitate the name change, the premiere was bumped to October and four first episodes had to be aired on consecutive days in two weekends, to keep in schedule.[3][4]
  • Gisle's favorite character is Mook the mechanic.
